Teaching History

Jen has been practicing yoga since the beginning of 2009 and teaching since 2012, originally from Maryland. With over 1,500 hours of class teaching time under her belt, she constantly works to improve your experience in her dynamic and upbeat classes. She is also a member of the Yoga Alliance and International Yoga Therapists. She teaches a myriad of yoga styles including: Ashtanga Primary Series, Vinyasa Flow, Power Yoga, Gentle yoga and Restorative yoga. For an added challenge, she also practices acroyoga and loves hiking.

In 2010 she suffered an injury that caused her to receive an ACL replacement on her left knee. This has helped her understand the powerful use of yoga as not just a recovery tool of the physical body but of the mental ability to persevere and heal from within along with the therapeutic benefits of a daily yoga practice. Her goals with teaching others yoga is to bring students joy, growth, and understanding in their experiences, especially for beginners, to the yoga practice. This can be through assisting her clients in their recovery, introducing them to a new physical, and mental practice, or assisting continued growth within their own respective practices.

She graduated MUIH with a Masters of Science in Yoga Therapy during 2017. Adding to her experience and knowledge seeking for better health through yoga. In 2017, Jen traveled to Thailand to learn Thai Yoga Bodywork and integrates some of the movements into her class styles.
