Teaching History

Jen Allen has been practicing yoga since the beginning of 2009 and teaching since 2012.ย With over 1,000 hours of class teaching time under her belt, she constantly works to improve your experience in her class. She is also a member of the Yoga Alliance. She teaches a myriad of yoga styles including: Ashtanga Primary Series, Vinyasa Flow, Power Yoga, Yin yoga and Children’s yoga at various locations including but not limited to gyms, fitness centers, corporate settings, and martial art studios. She is also able to customize one on one sessions for flexibility evaluations to help clients reach their flexibility and body strength goals through yoga. In 2010 she suffered an injury that caused her to receive an ACL replacement on her left knee. This has helped her understand the powerful use of yoga as not just a recovery tool of the physical body but of the mental ability to persevere and heal from within. Her goals with teaching others yoga is to bring students joy, growth, and understanding in their experiences, especially for beginners to the yoga practice. This can be through assisting her clients in their recovery, introducing them to a new physical, and mental practice, or assisting continued growth within their own respective practices. She currently teaches within Maryland and hosts local retreats throughout the year.
